I just remember that during this month of the year in the Philippines, aside from swimming at the beach because it's summer time there, i was also busy attending the town Fiestas of different municipalities in our Camarines Sur Province because i had friends and officemates who used to invite me on their town fiesta, yes, month of May means, month of fiestas and also during this time, the Province is busy preparing for the upcoming Kaogma Festival, We also call this as the Hottest Festival in the world because we features the Hot Sili or Chili Peppers, Bicol's landmarkAnyway, The Kaogma Festival is a week long celebration of the foundation anniversary of the Province of Camarines Sur. The festival features numerous activities such as extreme sports events, trade fair, concerts, beauty pageant, singing competition and Grand Parade(which i was once a street dancer participant before) the Province is not really included in the contest but just a model or an intermission no., it's the 35 towns or municipalities who participates in the street dancing competition but that was really fun and one of my memorable experiences as an employee of the Provincial Government of Cam. Sur. Hubby knows about this Kaogma Festival because i sent him several souviner shirts and i also brought a couple as pasalubong to him. I guess he likes the shirts 'coz he always wear them and i think he want to see and experience also how it is celebrated hmm.. hopefully, maybe when we go visit PI, one summer time, although hubby wanted to witness also the fiesta of my place, Naga City,which is the Penafrancia Festival or the Feast of Our Lady of Penafrancia(the patroness of Bicolandia), celebrated on the third Saturday of September, so we'll hope for that too. By the way, Kaogma means Happy!photos below were some of the souvenir shirts that i gave to my hubby and i would be happy if my friends would remember to send me also this year's souvenirs              

    Anyway, back to US life now i may not be attending town fiestas now, but attending to so many parties here are just like attending fiestas in PIyep! especially when a friend here Lanie hosted a party, or even a simple get together, it's always like a feast, lots of filipino food and with takehome pa,isn't it coolbut unfortunately, this is one of the reasons why i gained weight

      Last Sunday, we invited Tonya and Brad for dinner here in our house, since it was Tonya's birthday,  i just thought that it's the right time and our turn to invite them also because they were always inviting us to their place for every occasions and holidays like the 4rt of July, Thanksgiving Day, hubby's birthday and also my birthday, etc.. Tonya is such a nice and sweet friend also, she gave me a lot of girly stuffs even it's not my birthday. For those who does not know, Brad is a close friend of hubby and Tonya is Brad's GF(and they were our cord sponsors in our wedding) anyway, i'm glad that they enjoyed the Filipino dinner that i prepared(calderata & chicken curry with rice and Pancit for long life) and she likes her gifts, mostly stuffs for her Ipod and a cool pink shirt from VS Hope you had a happy Birthday Tonya and many many more happy and healthy birthdays to comeand thank you guys for being an awesome friends

    I got this cool award from one of my friends here, Elba.
